Continuing to combine simplicity and quality, the new space in Cascais, with 50 seats, maintains the essence and the art of hospitality of the original Café de São Bento, which, since 1982, has attracted successive generations of customers in search of the best steak in Lisbon, whose original recipe is inspired by the famous Bife à Marrare (from the iconic 19th century cafés).
With the same desire to create stories and foster lasting bonds with its customers, the only new features are a kitchen format that is a little more open to the living room and a small covered terrace, ideal for an executive-style lunch or dinner in a very cosy atmosphere with seating for 50.
Located in the historic centre, Café de São Bento Cascais is at 71 Rua Alexandre Herculano. Cosy and elegant, with an atmosphere that harks back to the timelessness of classic European cafés, no detail was overlooked in an architectural project that relied on more than 15 suppliers to ensure that every element was present in this new space.

For 43 years making history in Rua de São Bento, the legendary steaks of Café de São Bento have now arrived in Cascais. With the opening of a new space in the town’s historic centre, located at 71 Rua Alexandre Herculano, it will be possible to maintain the old tradition while telling a new story.
